Another record, another signature adidas boot. After becoming the all-time leader in La Liga hat-tricks Leo Messi has been rewarded with a new exclusive F50 adizero that pays homage to his hometown. Introducing the Pibe de Barr10.

The Pibe de Barr10 is the next chapter that follows on from the Mirosar10 boot launched in November 2014 and is inspired by the Barrio of Las Heras, Rosario, where Messi learned to play the game. The streets and pitches of Las Heras was where Messi first began skinning the living bejesus out of dazzled Argentinean kids trying to kick lumps out of him on his journey to becoming one of the game's greats.

Some description

Designed in collaboration with Rosario-born graphic artist Ignacio Valenti in a style that pays tribute to Messi’s childhood the Pibe de Barr10 fuses urban-inspired raw brush strokes with polished sleekness on the synthetic hybrid touch upper, to embody Messi’s footballing style; beautiful, yet dangerous.

Messi will wear the Pibe de Barr10 boots for the first time when Barca host Man City in the second leg of their Champions League knockout stage on Wednesday. On a personal level Messi has been directly involved in 24 La Liga goals this year; no other entire team has scored more than 21. Not bad that, probably deserves another signature boot. Speaking about his new boots, Messi said: “I did leave Rosario when I was young, but I still have my people, my neighborhood, and my favorite spots. Pibe de Barr10 have a lot to do with my life, my childhood and a lot to do with me.”

The new Pibe de Barr10 is available to pre-order now from selected online stockists including Pro-Direct Soccer for a March 19 launch.
