Mizuno hand out a rare colour update to their Basara silo, a boot that has all the credentials to compete in the speed market but has yet to make a namely impression on the professional scene in its year-long existence.

The "Red/White" release is the first lick of paint to land on the 175g boot since the beautifully titled "Neon Orange/Pansy" which kicked off 2015 for Mizuno. Mizuno are renown for producing the finest leather football boots on the market but with the Basara they've entered the synthetic game which offers an alternative from the Morelia Neo and extends the reach of the brand.

Some description

The key feature on the Mizuno Basara 001 is the strategic stud configuration which ensures the foot always has maximum contact with the playing surface. ‘D-Flex’ grooves allow the boot to rotate with the foot, making sure the studs enter the ground at the same angle as the foot for enhanced traction and reduced risk of injury. Mizuno have focused on changing direction at speed rather than sprinting in straight lines and it's a noticeable trait as we discovered in our 'Laced Up' review.

The Mizuno Basara Red/White is available at select stockists including Pro-Direct Soccer. Drop your comments below.
