Taking influence from the female game ahead of this summer’s World Cup, New Balance launch the ‘Own Now’ pack, which features a full roster of Furon v7, Tekela v4 in both laceless high cut and laced low cut, and the classic 442.

All brands are gearing up for the global football fest that is the 2023 Women’s World Cup, set to kick off at the end of this month in Australia and New Zealand, and the latest to show its hand is New Balance, who reveal the ‘Own Now’ pack. For the first time it sees four options across its three silos, with a low cut and laced Tekela v4 joining its regular laceless version, the Furon v7, and the more traditional feeling 442 boot.

So, starting with the aforementioned Tekela, and its the first time that the v4 has been made available in a more traditional low cut variation. Certain athletes, including Liverpool’s Harvey Elliott, have been wearing this option for a little while now, and the brand make it an option for retail, sitting alongside the laceless version. Both arrive in a “Copper/Black” colourway, with the copper acting as the base and the black as the accent colour, which stands out particularly on a special heel graphic. The ’N’ branding on the lateral side of each boot also features a nice graphic execution.

Moving on from the Tekela, and we get the ever-popular Furon v7, which arrives in a striking silver colourway. The silver dominates the look, although bronze pops through the branding, linking the pack together nicely. Case of as you were with the Furon, with it not featuring any new tech upgrades.

Finally, the 442 follows suit with the Furon in a silver colourway that again features bronze accents. It features a premium leather upper and an elite level nylon outsole, while internal cushioned pillows provide an unrivalled level of comfort, combining with that more traditional feel.
