Coming with some minor technological tweaks and some fresh new colourways, New Balance have dropped the Furon v7+ and Tekela v4+, ready for the rest of the campaign.

The new year brings with it fresh beginnings, and New Balance respond with new colourways of the Furon v7+ and Tekela v4+, which appear aesthetically as inverted versions of one another, a point that's highlighted by the former’s switch-up in branding. The move brings it in line with the Tekela, abandoning the usual swooping N logo on the forefoot for a more traditional ’N’ placement on the mid foot. Those with a keen eye for detail will have also noticed the presence of a ‘+’ symbol in both boots' titles – this denotes the fact that both have had a slight technological upgrade; not quite enough to earn a full next generation change, but enough to warrant the attention.

Both the Furon and Tekela have already been spotted in action on the feet of Bukayo Saka and Harvey Elliott respectively in the Arsenal v Liverpool FA Cup third round clash. Now they launch officially, with the Furon arriving in a “Team Sky Blue/NB Navy” colourway, and the Tekela inverting that. It sees the base of each boot in a solid block of colour, with the ’N’ branding acting as the main point of contrast. The Furon then features some subtle “Hot Mango” accents through the collar and stud tips, linking it to the 442 that’s also dropped as part of the pack, offering a grassroots alternative.

Both the Furon and Tekela boast an innovative Hypoknit upper, while the latter is also available in a high-cut laceless option, as well as the more favoured low-cut laced version worn by most pros.
