There's Something Fishy About Venezia's New Jersey

Every club’s fourth kit is meant to be the one where designers get to go a bit feral. Venezia and Nocta, Drake’s sportswear label, have taken that brief and run with it.

Meet the 2026-27 fourth shirt, officially called “Fish Bones”. It’s exactly what it sounds like. The base is a loud turquoise the club calls “Venezia Acqua”, the colour of a lagoon that’s had three espressos. Across the torso and sleeves is a dark, abstract print of X-ray fish skeletons. It’s a shirt that looks like the inside of a seafood platter, and it works.

Venice has always been a city built on fish, boats and lagoon life, and the kit leans into that. It’s an unusually experimental release for the club, and a nod to the city’s food culture as much as its football.

Details are kept to a minimum so the print can do the talking. A black polo collar with turquoise piping and matching black cuffs keep things grounded, while Nocta’s logo sits on the right chest and shoulders. The winged Venezia crest goes front and centre, above stylised “Venezia” lettering across the midriff. The launch campaign was shot by photographer Clelia Cadamuro at Venice’s historic Rialto fish market, so the shirt gets to hang out with the real thing.

Nocta has already made a habit of treating football like fashion, so this one fits the bill too. It will split opinion: some people will see a masterpiece, others will see something their dad found at the bottom of a cooler. It’s still a lot more interesting than yet another tonal gradient.
