As has become something of a custom with recent releases, Nike selects one of it performance shoes for a supporting role for its latest on-pitch pack, and so it is that the Nike React Infinity Run gets a standout ‘Future Lab’ makeover.

Nike often like to take one or two of their performance shoes and give them a paint job that ties them in with the latest on-pitch pack release, with last year’s ‘Euphoria Mode’ pack colourings getting some nice representation on the Air Max Plus and React Element 55. And in line with that approach, for the strong crimson colourings of the ‘Future Lab’ pack it’s the turn of the newly released React Infinity Run.

Of the four silos within the ‘Future Lab’ pack, the React Infinity Run takes most of its influence from the look of the Mercurial. Much like one of the signature sign offs that is synonymous with the latest generation Mercurial, the React Infinity Run also features a dropped Swoosh, albeit here it comes in a contrasting white as opposed to the Merc’s black. But that’s the biggest difference between the React Infinity and the Mercurial in what is otherwise a close interpretation, with the sneaker featuring the same full crimson base that's joined by black detailing through the heel.

Designed to help reduce injury, the React Infinity Run features 24 percent more React foam and a wider footbed than previous Nike Running models, offering a fine-tuned blend of biomechanical efficiency and cushioning. Looks pretty sick in crimson too.
