Looking back to the 70s for design inspiration, PUMA have unveiled the Olympique Marseille home shirt for the 22/23 season. The jersey sees a return of the blue colouring that was famously worn 50 years ago.

A fresh new look for Marseille also has solid ties to the past, as PUMA bring back the mythical blue of the 70s to complement the pristine white home shirt. But as well as having solid nods to the past, the shirt is also primed and ready for the coming campaign, being constructed as it is from ULTRAWEAVE technology.

So, as is traditional for the Ligue 1 side we get a white base with a clean design, trimmed with dark blue piping on the sleeves and collar. The club and PUMA logos are in the same mythical and historic blue, while thin embossed stripes add depth to the front of the jersey, with the Marseille coat of arms on the neck acting as a proud reminder of the union between the club and the city.

As previously mentioned, the Marseille home shirt is constructed from ULTRAWEAVE technology, PUMA’s lightest, highest-performance material ever developed. With a base that weighs just 72 grams and a reduced number of seams, the jersey is designed specifically to optimise performance by allowing players complete freedom of movement.
