Udinese Debut Fashion-Forward 23/24 Third Shirt From Macron

Following the reveal that came a few days before, Udinese Calcio debuted their new 23/24 third shirt from Macron in the Serie A game against Fiorentina. Unveiled during Milan Fashion Week, the shirt was created in collaboration with fashion designer Marcello Pipitone.

The merging of football and fashion is reaching beyond the upper echelons of the footballing world, and this in evidence with Udinese’s new third shirt for 23/24. Produced by technical supplier Macron, the kit has been designed by Milanese designer Marcello Pipitone, and it features an all-over monochromatic graphic that’s inspired by the movement and energy of the team.

A closer look at the graphic, and you can see that it’s made up of silhouette’s of people running and moving. The black and white look is then complemented by the presence of yellow accents that feature in the collar, cuffs, branding, sponsor and club crest, adding extra definition to the design.

“It was nothing short of fantastic to be able to work on this project,” said Pipitone. “For me, the world of football has always represented a fundamental universe of reference and now being able to design a shirt for a prestigious team in Serie A is truly an incredible achievement.”

Unfortunately, the kit didn’t enjoy a winning start to life, with Fiorentina stealing a 0-2 win, despite Udinese’s dominance throughout the game. Fiorentina took their chances, while the home side did not, denied so often by the outstanding Terracciano in the visitors goal. Still, that result does not detract from what is an eye-catching and progressive new kit for I Friulani.
