With the domestic leagues coming to an end and World Cup squads being announced, all attention turns to Brazil 2014. Today, with one month to go, adidas have revealed the 'Battle Pack', featuring four unique designs to be worn on football's biggest stage this summer.

Spread across all four of adidas' silos, the adizero f50, Predator, Nitrocharge and 11Pro have all been given a unique black, white and gold update that is a visual representation of the adidas “all in or nothing” 2014 FIFA World Cup campaign. Each boot is exactly 50% white and 50% black and the fiery gold colour of the three stripes represents the World Cup trophy.

Included in the adidas Battle Pack is the all new adidas Predator Instinct. The legendary adidas Predator silo has seen a new boot released every FIFA World Cup since 1994 and given this is the Predators twentieth year, the 2014 World Cup will be no different.

To stand out from the other three boots, the new Predator Instinct is the only one of the Battle Pack to be designed with a white on black colourway (the others are all black on white). The latest incarnation of the adidas Predator features transparent 'Lethal Zones' as well as a newly developed passing pad on the upper. We'll be bringing you a closer look at the new adidas Predator Instinct soon.

The black and white patterns of each boot has been inspired by the warpaint of native warriors and the iconic pavement patterns of ancient Mesopotamia perfected on the Copacabana beach. The individual patterns are designed to express the attributes of each boot, as well as the attitude and abilities of the player type who wears them as they fight for victory.

Markus Baumann, Senior VP for Global Football at adidas said: “For Battle Pack, we wanted the boots to be highly visible on pitch and stand out from the extreme range of colour everyone expects to see in Brazil. Our FIFA World Cup campaign is “all in or nothing” and this mindset is represented perfectly through the black and white colourway chosen for the boots. In addition, we wanted to pay homage to a unique Brazilian design and the powers associated with the boots and style of the players wearing them. They will help prepare our players for battle in Brazil, as they aim for glory.”
