When Nike unveiled their premier Tech Craft Pack in August this year it acted as a window of opportunity for players to trial the brand's Flyknit technology without having to sacrifice a leather feel. The Superfly, Magista & Hypervenom all became versatile due to an added layer of leather fused to the upper of the boots where contact is made with the ball, and now that upper is plastered in an unlikely combination of Volt and Canvas.
It's a strange one. A bit like pouring gravy on your cereal or milk on your roast dinner, there's just something not quite right about it but that's what makes it work in a peculiar way. It's a grower - you can quote us on that in a months time. We've been here so many times before with Nike, once they hit pitches something will click and we'll secretly admit to liking them. The previous Tech Craft Superfly saw Alexis Sanchez lead a small number of players into them, so it's worth keeping an eye on the Arsenal man in the coming weeks.
