Cristiano Ronaldo to kick off the 2014/15 season wearing a special edition “Electric Green” Mercurial Superfly IV.

The Nike Mercurial Superfly is ready for its first assault on European football, but before Nike kit out their full Mercurial roster with an updated Fall colourway - more on that in September - Cristiano Ronaldo will step out in a striking new “Electric Green/HyperPunch/Black” special edition colourway for the start of La Liga season, with Real Madrid facing newly promoted Cordoba this weekend.

Despite a disappointing World Cup campaign, Cristiano Ronaldo will no doubt be the biggest figure for the Nike Mercurial Superfly IV this season with signature colourways and exclusive designs. Although the “Electric Green/HyperPunch/Black” colourway is not a CR edition, the boots will be worn exclusively by Cristiano Ronaldo throughout the opening weeks of the season. Expect CR to continue wearing his modified, lower-cut model that raised eyebrows in Brazil this summer.

The new Nike Mercurial Superfly IV boots feature a dominating green upper, combined with a “HyperPunch” Swoosh across the forefoot. Green has been a successful stand-out colour for the Mercurial range dating back to the “Cactus” Vapor III launched in 2007. Now it makes another appearance on the breakthrough Mercurial Superfly IV in outrageous style.

Driven through Nike’s most advanced technology - Nike Flyknit - the hightop Dynamic Fit Collar, which has radically transformed the Mercurial silhouette, is designed to create a more unified fit and heightened sensation of the boot acting as an extension of the foot. Other key features include Brio cable knitted directly into the upper and locked into the outsole to help propel players forward.

The new Electric Green/HyperPunch/Black Nike Mercurial Superfly IV is available from select Nike stockists including Pro-Direct Soccer.
