adidas Originals and Craig Green continue to celebrate their second collaborative collection with three drops of the all-new Kontuur IV, exclusive to Dover Street Market. Similar in aesthetic to the Kontuur III, the Kontuur IV brings more colour to the collection, with warm and cool tones served in leather, synthetic and suede textures with embroidered embellishments.

The adidas and Craig Green collaboration has been a continual collection of cool, combining the British designer's cult-like aesthetics with German precision for what is a unique stamp on the Three Stripes. That’s most recently been seen on the Mundial-Inspired Kontuur III, which was revealed last week in two understated tones, and that’s now followed up by the release of the Kontuur IV, available in three colourways exclusively through Dover Street Market.

The limited trio arrives in “Collegiate Red”, “Trace”, and “Collegiate Blue”, with the uppers doused tonally in three shades and layered over the top with complementing pieces. The red and blue varieties spread out their warm and cool tones, only switching up the look as it bounces from leather to synthetic to suede textures. The khaki hues of the trace colourway offer up a more visually varied option, with a transition between earthy browns, oranges and dark olives. Through these colours, the embroidered embellishments are far more aggressive, particularly through the collar and toe box, although the black stitching of the forefoot is a strong addition on all three looks.

While the outsole remains virtually the same as the Kontuur III, it’s in the upper construction that the differences are apparent, with the heavy stitch lines and absence of an external heel overlay. That impressive tongue remains, along with the all-round Mundial vibe.
