Umbro continue to impress ahead of the 2019/20 season, with unique shirt offerings landing across the board for their sponsored teams. And next to enjoy the individual treatment is Dutch side PSV Eindhoven, whose new away shirt is inspired by the historic club’s local pride, as well as it’s bold commitment to unity and inclusivity.

With a sleek black base, the PSV away strip for the 2019/20 season utilises a bold and modern colour palette and design that takes its cues as much from contemporary sports fashion as it does from the club’s proud regional and national heritage. The warped checkerboard print on the sleeves of the shirt are a subtle reference to the Brabant flag – the southern province of Holland in which Eindhoven is situated – while the orange-colouring represents the Netherlands as a whole.

The Umbro designers have incorporated the club’s slogan ‘Eendracht maakt macht’ (‘United We Stand’) in the neck of the shirt, while the red and white striped logo located just below the rear collar is a reference to the very first wooden tribune from 1916 located around the sports park. The black and orange colour scheme is reversed for the shorts, while the socks follow the shirt with a predominantly black look. No sign of the PSV home shirt yet, but if this is anything to go by then it will be worth the wait.

The PSV 19/20 away shirt is available for pre-order now, with a release date of 22 June.
