Ahead of their game against Platense this weekend, Boca Juniors unveiled their new home shirt for 23/24 from Adidas, which they then swiftly gave a winning debut to.

Taking its inspiration from the various shapes and textures of La Boca – one of the most iconic neighbourhoods in Buenos Aires – Boca Juniors have unveiled their latest home shirt from adidas, which will be used for the remainder of this campaign and into the next. And they’ve already given it a winning start, romping to a 3-1 victory against Platense, with Edison Cavani netting his first goal for the club.

The design sticks with the traditional blue base and yellow band, though a new tonal graphical embellishment to the blue areas offers a fresh approach – it combines different shades of blue, while a wider than usual take on the famous yellow stripe dominates the chest. The design looks to represent the ties with the local community of supporters and the upper back includes the “XENEIZE” nickname in yellow as a tidy sign off.
