Offering an ‘Instinct’-inspired refresh, PUMA drop the King Platinum in a “Black/Neon Citrus” colourway, tying it in with the Future 1.3 and Ultra 1.4 that came before.

The King Platinum remains a strong alternative to PUMA’s regular roster of Future 1.3 and Ultra 1.4, appealing to the classic boot market through a smooth combination of tradition and innovation. But that doesn’t stop it following suit when it comes to colourways, and so it arrives in a look that sees it sitting seamlessly alongside it’s more commonly seen brethren in the ‘Instinct Pack’.

PUMA never forget that many still favour the feel of leather and the properties that it provides. That’s why they also dropped the Future Z 1.3 ‘Lazertouch’ today, switching out the normal construction for a premium leather option.

But the heritage of the King line comes with that traditional touch as standard, while also boasting a reengineered upper. It features KINGForm technology: a rib structure that fuses to the super-soft leather upper in key contact areas to deliver superior touch and increased responsiveness. The King Platinum also combines an aggressive MoveKontrol Plate outsole for optimized traction and a brand-new, specially crafted KomfortSystem for next-level comfort with super-soft anatomical padding and a knitted tongue for a natural snug fit.
