Keeping things green – quite literally, in fact – PUMA have launched the King Platinum Vegan in a new “Fizzy Light/Asphalt” colour way, continuing in its quest for sustainability.

Burger and cheese lovers look away, this is the PUMA King Platinum Vegan – a boot made from 100 percent vegan materials, with the aim to sacrifice nothing in a performance sense, while also showing that the traditional methods and materials for boot construction are not the only way. And this is the second colour way of the environmentally friendly boot, following the launch look, which dropped back in February.

The King Platinum ‘Vegan’ follows the Paul Pogba x adidas Predator by Stella McCartney, which dropped at the end of last year as the Three Stripes’ first 100 percent vegan boot. Now it’s PUMA’s turn. For the King, there’s a fully vegan leather upper, with 100 percent vegan knitted yarns on the tongue, while the PEBA outsole has also been constructed without animal-based lubricants.

The colour scheme sees a lean into greenish/yellowish hues with an official title of “Fizzy Light”, which dominates the look, while the darker “Asphalt” colour plays supporting role through the soleplate, laces and branding. Fresh look and doing your bit for a greener future.
