Continuing what is now a well established collaborative partnership, PUMA and Porsche team up once again for another King crossover with a high-performance motor vehicle, and this time it’s the limited Porsche 356 from the Paris Dakar Rally of the 70s.

PUMA and Porsche have developed a strong working relationship in recent years, with several collaborative special edition King Platinums dropping, the most recent being the King Platinum Porsche Turbo, which arrived in a colourway that pays homage to the history and heritage of the high-performance sports car manufacturer. Now comes the latest instalment, with a look that pays homage to the Rallye history of the 911 and the 356.

The Dakar Rally is an annual rally raid organised by the Amaury Sport Organisation. Most events since the inception in 1978 were staged from Paris, France, to Dakar, Senegal. The Porsche 356 “Rallye” cars were equipped with many competition options, and the new King pays homage to that with a “Puma White/Nrgy Red/Puma Black” colourway. A chequered effect is lifted straight from the seat and dash of the Porsche’s interior and laid across the formstripe. A ‘Rallye 911’ logo then sits on the tongue as a final sign off.
