Arone Kone was handed a rare start as Roberto Martinez shuffled his pack for Everton's trip to Newcastle. Kone opened the scoring wearing his Hi-Vis Nike Mercurial Vapor IX boots but was on the end of a 3-2 defeat in Tyneside.

Saido Mane was on the scoresheet as Southampton held Chelsea to a 1-1 draw at St Mary's. The Senegalese midfielder was wearing the previous F50 generation after an appearance in the Nike Mercurial Vapor X against Sheffield United in the League Cup before Christmas.
Niko Kranjcar (QPR) adidas Nitrocharge 1.0
The adidas Battle Pack was launched for all adidas athletes to wear at the 2014 World Cup. The collection packed a strong set of visuals and Nico Kranjcar is still reppin' the Nitrocharge edition of the boots as QPR are in thier own battle to stay in the Premier League.
Azizbek Haydarov (Uzbekistan) Nike Mercurial Vapor IX
The notorious CR7 collection was on show on Christmas Day as Uzbekistan lost 1-0 to Iraq in part of a double header. Azizbek Haydarov was sporting the white/volt/crimson sixth edition of the CR series that was originally launched in March 2013. Throwing it out there... the ugliest of the collection. There. We said it.
Maya Yoshida (Southampton) Mizuno Wave Ignitus 3
The best boot/kit combo of the week belongs to Southampton's Maya Yoshida. The Japanese defender was laced up in the red/white/black Mizuno Wave Ignitus 3 to match up perfectly with the Saints home kit.
Gaston Ramirez (Hull) Nike Tiempo Legend V
Gaston Ramirez has turned to the blackout treatment to disguise his Nike Tiempo Legend V boots. The Hull forward has been wearing the bright volt editions but has switched to the dark side over the festive period, perhaps in search of a boot deal.
Fernando (Man City) New Balance
2015 is tipped to be a big year for New Balance as they officially complete their brand identity switch from Warrior. New Balance have already upped their recruitment game on pitch by adding Man City's Fernando to the likes of Ramsey, Kompany, Fellaini and Nasri. Silo wise the boots are still under wraps but you can expect that to change soon.

At 60g lighter than the standard Predator Instinct you'd think that the Crazylight would be the perfect blend of F50 and Predator but the player support has been very minimal. That could be down to the daring graphics, price tag or lack of on pitch time from adidas players but either way the Crazylight Pack slipped by without making much noise.
Graziano Pellè (Southampton) Nike Mercurial Superfly IV
Graziano Pellè has taken modification into his own hands by cutting off the Dynamic Fit Collar on the Superfly to create a normal silhouette that still packs the Flywire technology of the Superfly. It's a tactic we've seen by a few Nike players now including Alexandre Pato and Christian Atsu.
Rob Green (QPR) Warrior Gambler II
Rob Green has been wearing a blacked out version of the Warrior Gambler II boot for the entire season so far with QPR. The former England shot stopper looks to have settled on his footwear and whether or not he is contracted by Warrior will become apparent when they re-brand to New Balance in the new year.
Andre Wisdom (West Brom) Umbro Geometra II
Andre Wisdom is still flying the flag for Umbro in the Premier League. A resurgent Umbro have focused efforts on making a kit return with Everton and Hull in England's top flight and will begin to re-work their boot line-up in 2015 with some exciting new projects coming out of their HQ.
