The adidas Primeknit collection has been tipped as the most comfortable ever by many but there has been a split between professionals with numerous players remaining in the standard X 15.1 editions. Roberto Firmino was flying the Primeknit flag at Anfield on Sunday against Southampton and added his own touch with a pair of white laces.

Osinachi Ebere provided a blast of Euro 2012 at the FIFA U-17 World Cup in Chile. The Nigerian youngster opted for the Nike T90 Laser IV "Clash Collection" where all Nike silos were identified by a splash of colour on the heel. Four years on and we're wondering what sort of collection Nike will have in store for Euro 2016. Roll on June.

New Balance's hottest drop so far has come in the shape of their blackout and whiteout packs. The popularity of the simplistic colourways was built by the brand's prolonged tease phase with all their pro players wearing black and white designs for a number of months. Now a general release the blackout Furons have been picked up by Melbourne Victory's Whitney Knight.
Paul Pogba (Juventus) Nike Magista Obra
Paul Pogba's creative flair both on and off pitch rolls into another season. The Juventus midfielder wore a number of custom Magista Obra colourways last year as his side reached the Champions League Final and the Frenchman's latest personalised boot comes in a Metallic Purple paint job with black Dynamic Fit Collar and Swooshes.
Zid Gharir (Syria) adidas F50 adizero
Syria are also in action at the U-17 World Cup in Chile with Zid Gharir on show wearing the first ever adidas F50 adizero silo. The "Chameleon Purple/Electricity" colourway was released in May 2010 and worn by Leo Messi at the World Cup in South Africa. Still going strong, Gharir was 12 years old when these came out.

A small number of the 324K Gold will be released in January so hold on.

Rosenborg's Fredrik Midtsjo was in action this week in the lesser-spotted "Core Black/Silver Metallic/Solar Yellow" adidas X 15.1. The colourway was kept away from the brand's pool of X players but has been a more toned-down substitute to the eccentric "Solar Yellow" launch edition.

Is there a mini Hypervenom II exodus on the cards?
